As part of the MCW Jazz Series,Music Conservatory of Westchester and Nigunim Festival are pleased to present pianist Pete Malinverni in the MCW Recital Hall on Saturday, Oct. 15. This is the second event of Nigunim 2011 - a festival of New improvised Jewish music.


About Pete Malinverni:
Malinverni, who is the musical director at Westchester Reform Temple, will present a special evening of solo piano music inspired by Jewish themes and spirituals. Malinverni is an accomplished jazz pianist who Stuart Troup, in a feature article in the New York Newsday has called “A supple player, full of Nuance”. Pete has released six critically acclaimed recordings as a leader, and is also a long time faculty member at SUNY Purchase’s prestigious Jazz program.
